TELL GOVERNOR CHRISTIE TO RESTORE CASA FUNDING IN FY18 BUDGET

CASA Funding Depends on YOU! Governor Christie needs to hear from us NOW if we want to keep our state funding. Please act immediately!

CASA relies on strong support from both the public and private sectors. State funding is a critical component of this support.

The good news is that CASA's appropriation was restored to $2 million in the budget bill.

BUT IT IS NOT OVER YET because Governor Christie can exercise a line-item veto. We need YOUR HELP to make sure that restored CASA funding of $2 million does not get vetoed!

Please follow the CALL TO ACTION  where you will find specific instructions on how to contact Governor Christie and Lieutenant Governor Guadagno to request that they keep the restored CASA funding in the FY18 budget.

Please act on this request immediately. As soon as the bill is sent to Governor Christie, he will begin his line-item vetoes, and he needs to hear from us NOW if we want to keep the restoration!CASA of New Jersey, Inc. is part of a national network of non-profit programs that advocate for children removed from their families because of abuse or neglect. CASA of NJ promotes and supports a statewide network of local CASA programs (Affiliates) statewide.

Thank you for your active participation and support!

CASA Affiliates recruit and train community volunteers to be a "voice in court" for children removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect. These advocates "speak up" for these children, helping them get the services they need and ensuring that they find safe, permanent homes. CASA programs operate in all 21 counties in New Jersey and more than 1,700 CASA volunteers served over 3,600 children last year.New Paragraph
